Artist's Statement

I make abstracted biological forms that are intended to be empathized with through their anthropomorphic qualities of gesture and color, in order to hypothesize the potential outcomes of change. 

Biography

Meaghan was born and raised in Northern California and received a BFA from California State University, Chico. At the completion of her undergraduate degree, she was awarded a Windgate Fellowship that enabled her to work as a studio assistant and resident artist at a number of international residencies that were located in Denmark, Japan, and China. Recently she has been working on her Masters of Fine Arts Degree at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth as a selected Distinguished Art Fellow in the field of ceramics. Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions across the United States and internationally.
